Product Design - Would You Use It_.wav
Speakers: Willy Schlacks (Co-Founder & Co-CEO of EquipmentShare)
Key Points
- Studying your competitors in addition to talking to customers before starting your MVP can be the difference between a good and bad MVP. This will help unlock what features you need for an edge or find out that there really is no edge. When you are building a product you will have to ask the question - would I use it? You have to move fast because if you don’t you will die.
- Product design in the early days is less about look & feel if you are B2B. It’s about features first and design second. Unless you are B2C, then design is how you win customers. 9/10 times the best design wins.
- As the CEO you must be the product designer in the beginning, but when you start building a team a product designer is one of the first people to hire. Always make sure to have a kanban set up for product management and a process around sprints when managing product design.
